Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Manager is responsible to ensure right people management in production to maximize efficiency and quality in respect of specific assembly lines and product. He will report to Plant Manager and support operations in the implementation of improvement plan and by being promoter of the culture of continuous improvement in the assembly shop contributing where possible with an "out of the box" thinking. He will be responsible for the entire production structure and its organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsibility to keep safe working conditions and best workplace organization according to the product.
  2. Optimize the production processes by implementing group lean directives of Vertiv Operating System and by keeping a continuous improvement environment.
  3. Continuous monitoring of the production KPI's and respective reporting even by participating at higher level meetings and by keeping informed the internal support functions and stakeholders.
  4. Defining production budget and hiring curves according to the volumes trends.
  5. Keep track of production people training, skill level, contracts and union involvement/information.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor degree in engineering or similar.
  2. Knowledge of lean philosophies.
  3. 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar position in complex organizations/industry.
  4. People leader experience.
  5. Knowledge and application of safety, quality and operative procedures.
  6. Good teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
