Job description

We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee our warehouse & logistics operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, seamless order fulfillment, and a safe working environment for our team.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  1. Warehouse and Logistics Management
  2. Fleet Management
  3. Lead the Warehouse team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement efficient procedures to maximize productivity, minimize errors, and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer (internal and external) demands while minimizing stock shortages and excess.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely order fulfillment.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and organization to streamline operations, improve picking accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Manage a fleet of commercial passenger vehicles and heavy machinery including repairs and maintenance.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with work health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, address operational challenges, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory, manage stock levels and generate reports.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position is based in Ipoh, Perak.
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Candidate must possess at least 3 years of hands-on working experience as Warehouse Manager or 4 years as Deputy Warehouse Manager.
  • People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others and explain ideas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Results oriented and high attention to detail.
  • Required languages: English
  • 6 days work week

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

We are a food wholesale company serving the HORECA sector, handling high delivery volumes and ensuring efficient last-mile deliveries to customers. This role requires a Warehouse Manager who is experienced and accustomed to a fast-paced environment and high-volume operations.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred.
  • Experience with Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • 5S Methodology knowledge.
  • Total Quality Management (TQM) experience.
  • Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management.
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM) certification, such as CSCP.
  • APICS certifications like CPIM or CLTD.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards.
  • Experience with warehouse automation systems.
