Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Operations & Maintenance Engineer with minimum 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations and maintenance. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our wastewater treatment plant, specifically focusing on the semiconductor industry. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing plant processes to meet regulatory standards while minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. Knowledge of SAP and a commitment to safety and compliance are essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Semiconductor WWTP, including monitoring process parameters, adjusting controls, and optimizing treatment processes.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Continuously monitor and analyze process performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure treated effluent meets regulatory standards through sampling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment and prevent environmental pollution.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address equipment failures and process upsets, minimizing disruptions to plant operations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to plant operators and maintenance staff, including training and procedure development.
- Assist in budget development and management, monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
- Must have knowledge of SAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
- Familiarity with process control systems, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
- Regular work hours are Mon - Fri: 8.30 am - 6 pm & Saturday: 8.30 am - 1 pm, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Willing to travel when required.
