In International Wealth and Premier Banking we serve 41 million customers globally, including 6.7 million who are international, from retail customers to ultra high net worth individuals and their families. Retail Banking plays a crucial role in executing the International Wealth and Premier Banking strategy, providing strategic advice, frameworks and guidance to markets, that ensure all customer journeys, products and services are sustainable, inclusive and built with customers at the heart.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team in the role of Operations and Control Manager working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. The role holder will be required to assess the effectiveness of controls relating to sales channel risks and identifying and raising issues where control gaps lead to material unaddressed risks.
2. The jobholder will be responsible for establishing and managing the overall sales channels operation and control of WPB business, that is in providing independent oversight, challenging and advising management, and ensuring the effectiveness, quality and robustness of WPB internal controls in place, with emphasis on all the quality standards, within our WPB Business.
3. The role holder is to act as the first line of defence in Distribution channel that is aligned to all control procedures and control requirements.
4. The role holder has oversight over all the sales channels internal controls in line with risk appetite and any regulatory and Group Standards / Policy requirements.
5. Job Holder will be tasked to sampling checks to be carried out, to provide an additional line of defence for conduct risk. This includes audit findings. Recommendations to be provided where warranted.
6. The jobholder also to proactively analyse, define and provide improvisation in the branch operation best practices, control and prevention measures.
