Operation Manager (Electrical Engineering)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as an Operation Manager (Electrical Engineering). As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the electrical engineering division, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and the maintenance of high-quality standards. This is a full-time position and our office base is located in Taman Tunku, Miri, Sarawak.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage, coordinate and be physically on site during the ongoing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, and to the required quality and regulatory standards.
  • Travelling to project sites in various locations within Malaysia and working together with electrical engineering teams, providing guidance and leadership, support, and performance feedback.
  • Liaise with clients, colleagues from other departments and the authorities (whenever necessary) to communicate project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business objectives and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor project budget and cost management, to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Prepare Engineering Technical Report on each project for the management and the clients, by collecting and closely monitoring and analyzing project data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant national and Sarawak state safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Degree, Diploma or other relevant certificates in Electrical Engineering or any related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant roles, preferably in the electrical engineering industry, specifically in factories and palm oil mills.
  • Ready and willing to work outstation, whenever required.
  • Strong project management skills with determination to meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge and application of the industry related safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer-oriented character with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High critical thinking, able to thrive in a fast-paced/busy environment and bravery to face new challenges.
  • Knowledge and experience in finance, costing and office administrative would be an added advantage.
