Due to a recent surge in requests for advanced language tutoring, we are expanding our network of qualified teachers.

What We Offer

You will have an active and independent role as a language teacher.

Once onboarded, you'll have access to the teachers' platform and receive offers. With the assistance of your Talent Success Coach, you can accept the classes that match your schedule and preferences. You have complete control over your agenda, and we don't require a minimum number of hours weekly or monthly.

Position Details

• Student: Individual/separate classes for a family of three (mother, 3-year-old & 6-year-old)
• Availability: Mom - Tuesday and Thursday 4pm-8pm; Children - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4pm-8pm
• Duration: 45 minutes & 1 hour each
• Preferred start date: June 1, 2025 & June 3, 2025
• Lesson Frequency: 2 & 3 classes a week
• Mode of lesson: Online/Virtual
• Current target language level: Complete beginners
• Language spoken at home: Afrikaans (native), English
• Student’s language needs and goals: Mom - Write and speak the language to pass the test. She would like to have structured lessons, meaning that she wants to follow a lesson plan that the teacher explains at the start or end of the lesson. The lessons should focus on grammar, building vocabulary, listening comprehension tips and strategies, reading and writing, pronunciation and local accents, common phrases native speakers use every day, conversations with native speakers, passing a language exam, job-related vocabulary, how to be polite and parenting in the new country, ordering at restaurants, going to the doctor, texting, a little context on popular hobbies or interests in the new country, a guide to shopping, business language and culture, giving compliments, how to learn a language faster, using public transportation, interviews, phone calls, cooking traditional food, and making friends.
• Children - Speak and write the language. He should have structured lessons, to follow a lesson plan that the teacher explains at the start or end of the lesson. The lessons focus on grammar, homework, building vocabulary, reading and writing, how schools work and how to be polite in the new country, common phrases native speakers use every day, pronunciation and local accents, a little context on popular hobbies or interests in the new country, culture of their new country, giving compliments, conversations with native speakers, school-related vocabulary, passing a language exam and practicing making friends.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that inspire and motivate students.
• Design and implement customized curricula in alignment with learners' proficiency levels and objectives.
• Track and assess student progress, guiding them to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, ensuring a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language, both written and spoken.
• A degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
• At least two years of English language teaching experience.
