1. Able to work in the department on-call, out-of-hour service and staggered hours.
2. To carry out standardized / non standardized assessments.
3. To plan treatment programmes based on patient’s needs.
4. To monitor the progress of patient treatment, and provide counselling and instructions for follow-up treatment.
5. To update timely the progress notes for in-patients and out-patients.
6. To provide relevant reports to consultants in charge of the progress of patient(s).
7. To establish and maintain good rapport and working relationships with all medical users, staff members of all disciplines and patients.
8. To attend ward round for inpatient and attend clinic for outpatient.
9. To participate in staff training programs and training courses for other groups of staff and patients.
10. To keep professionally up-to-date with current research, trends and techniques.
11. To maintain all necessary statistics and records of the department and to report the same in a timely manner.
12. To ensure all equipment is safely and regularly maintained and that appropriate records are retained.
13. Responsible in the Department and Hospital quality indicators.
14. To perform additional duties and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Diploma or Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
