Nurse Manager - Imaging/Cath Lab

Job Responsibilities

• Overall, in charge of the nurses of the assigned departments and responsible for managing all activities involving planning and supervising the professional and nursing activities and services rendered.
• Leads the team of nurses within these departments and is required to plan for staff development as well as participate in the Nursing Education Program.
• Coordinates the activities between these departments to ensure the smooth running of these departments in accordance with established policies & procedures.
• Oversees deployment of nurses in these departments to meet service needs.
• Responsible for ensuring a high level of safe nursing care is delivered in the most cost-effective manner.
• Shall be responsible for the competency of the nurses encompassing General Radiology in Imaging ST and OPC, VIR services, and Cardiology Services to ensure that the best nursing care is provided.
• Reviews and revises policy and procedures of these departments to meet regulations, accreditation standards, and best nursing practices.
• Trains and assesses nurses on nursing standards to achieve the competency mix required by the division.
• Maintains harmonious working relationships and creates a conducive environment for excellent customer service within the unit with para and medical staff and other departments within the organization.
• Willing to work extra hours when circumstances call for it.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and possess a valid annual practicing certificate.
• Post basic in a related field would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of principles of unit management.
• Knowledge of new developments in the nursing field.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant personality and self-motivated.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory position in a related nursing unit.
