Intro

As Nursing Care Advisor you will play an important role in educating patients on Ostomy and Wound Management and adopt ConvaTec’s product for better clinical outcomes. You will also be responsible for creating and delivering patient education programs, as well as activities relating to customer retention programs and assisting in conducting product-related case experiences.

NOTE: This position will be based in Ipoh, with travel to and around the state of Perak to be expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely response to patient/caregivers (calls/emails/teleconsultation) on clinical related issues and routine follow-up calls.
• Conduct ostomy & wound care teaching and troubleshooting sessions with patients/caregivers via teleconsultation/live chat and patients visiting the Patient Education Centre.
• Recommend the right ostomy and wound products that best suit patients’ needs.
• Patient App management – Patients’ data record & documentation.
• Manage Social Welfare/MAKNA/Yayasan/JPA/NGO patients.
• Coordinate with Nurse Associate for patient home/ward visits.
• Work closely with the Customer Service & Sales Personnel in providing excellent care continuum to patients.
• Support the hospitals’ ET nurses in their Colorectal Cancer Support Group meetings/activities in targeted hospitals.
• Ensure Patient Education Centre is well maintained and equipped to manage patient visits.

To be successful you will have:

• Nursing Degree/Diploma with at least 5 years of clinical care experience.
• Experience as ET Nurse will be highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Educator/Trainer within the medical device or healthcare industry will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong business relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Good presentation skills.
• Customer-oriented and committed to providing a high standard of service.
• Motivated and able to work independently.
• Good organizational and planning skills in the implementation of educational programs.
• Able to adapt to a busy and constantly evolving environment.
• Computer literate to an intermediate level including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• This role requires travel to customer sites/events. Own transportation is preferred.
