Radionuclide and Radiopharmaceuticals
Ensure availability of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals for running nuclear medicine activities smoothly.
Assist Radiopharmacist in preparing required radiopharmaceuticals for daily use by observing sterile and aseptic techniques and ensuring QC as per Task Procedure.
Dose calibrator
Perform daily checks to ensure the accuracy of radioactivity measurement by the dose calibrator.
PET/CT Imaging
Perform routine quality control testing on PET/CT to ensure optimal functioning of PET/CT before carrying out imaging procedures.
Assist in performing oncology CT simulation with Radiation Therapist per the policies and procedures applicable to the CT simulator room.
Ensure proper radiopharmaceutical administration in form dosage and route, either orally, intravenously or through inhalation.
Observe the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure to staff, patients and the public.
Ensure all MOH-required QC tests are carried out and recorded.
Keep records on receiving, administration, storage and disposal of radionuclides used in the department.
Assist Nuclear Medicine Physician, Radiologist, Cardiologist and Specialist in particular procedures.
Carry out post-processing of images according to Nuclear Medicine, Radiologist and Cardiologist instructions.
Assist in the day-to-day running of the centre and coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient service is delivered.
If necessary and demand are there, shift duties will be carried out.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Medical Imaging/Diagnostic Imaging
Preferably at least 1-2 years of clinical experience.
