Good day!

We are hiring a suitable candidate for the post of Electrical Engineer.

Work Location: Onshore based – Miri
Open for: Malaysian candidates, preferably Sarawakian.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum BE or BSc in Electrical Engineering or higher qualifications.
2. Registered as PE with Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
3. Minimum 10 years working experience in design of oil and gas electrical generation and distribution systems, as well as modification and major upgrading to existing systems.
4. Member of local/International Professional Institutions.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

1. A thorough knowledge of safety standards for electrical equipment deployed in hazardous areas is essential.
2. Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of codes, standards, and practices applicable to the IP, IEC, IOGP, and Shell’s DEP codes.
3. Significant experience in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
4. Maintain close liaison with the Electrical Inspectorate Unit (EIU), Sarawak, and Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Malaysia.
5. Experienced in oil and gas operation, maintenance, and execution.
6. Fluent understanding and working knowledge of State and National Electrical Regulatory requirements, SMEP Electrical Safety Rules, HSSE, and SP Control Framework.
