NETWORK/PROJECT ENGINEER

What do we need from you (Job Requirements):

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication / Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking hardware/software, and wireless communications, ELV such as CCTV, Card Access System, etc. is preferred.
• Familiar with construction drawings; skills in VISIO, AUTOCAD, and MS Project Applications will be an added advantage.
• Strong people management and communication skills
• Must be responsible, committed, independent, proactive with a can-do attitude
• Minimum 3 years experience in project coordination or management in Structured Cabling, IT / M&E industry with relevant on-site experience

What you will be doing (Key Responsibilities):

NETWORK ENGINEER’S ROLE:

• Provide pre/post sales service and on-site support for networking products or any IT products (software/hardware) supplied by the company.
• Design, implement, integrate, install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain systems, hardware, and software.
• Responsible for hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting process according to users’ requirements.
• Liaise with customers to provide IT solutions and proposals to meet their requirements.
• Liaise with the customer to finalize network design/implementation schedule before kick-off of the project.
• Provide theoretical and hands-on training to customers.
• Network troubleshooting in areas such as switches, multilayer switches, routers, firewall, IPS, FSO, and WIFI.
• Manage and implement the POC (Proof of Concept) to test the capability and functionality of network products as required by customers.
• Perform general IT support for the company such as printer installation, PC troubleshooting, and multimedia presentation.
• Support wired and wireless networking products including initial setup and configuration.

PROJECT ENGINEER'S ROLE:

• Prepare design and schematic drawings, project schedules, bills of material requisition, quality assurance documents, and installation reports.
• Organize, manage, and monitor a team of supervisors/technicians or subcontractors for respective projects and sites to ensure targeted progress is achieved.
• Ensure successful execution of projects within the required time frame, according to the agreed designs, compliant with company quality standards and operating procedures.
• Liaise with customers or third parties to coordinate work necessary to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and strict adherence to site safety and health requirements.
• Prepare necessary progressive and final project documentation before project handover.
• May occasionally provide pre-sales assistance to conduct site surveys and technical support to sales personnel.
