Network Control SCADA Engineer

Mission statement:

We are looking for a dynamic SCADA Engineer with high technical acumen passionate about working on SCADA EMS/GMS Projects in a power utility environment. Exciting opportunity in learning and delivering SCADA Power Network Management technology for a major power generation utility with state-of-the-art control center infrastructure environment.

Your responsibilities

1. You will be working closely with the Project Technical Lead for the delivery of project deliverables at the customer site.
2. You will configure Network Manager SCADA Database/HMI/displays, maintenance of the SCADA and Front-End System, historical archiving, and report creation.
3. You will involve in management of SCADA Applications – alarm/events, SOE, Trends, Operator Notes, monitoring/control, historical playback.
4. You will support EMS/DMS Engineer in application tuning, supervise installation of IT hardware, servers, workstations and displays, testing SCADA Applications at different stages of Project Life Cycle, backup/Image handling on servers, workstations, and patch management.
5. You will be supporting SCADA EMS expert during System Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
6. You will coordinate for delivery of customer trainings and workshops, follow-up with client/consultant for status of design file approval and comments.
7. You will assist in problem solving and providing solutions, cooperate with other teams in different business units and locations, good to have people skills, in particular the ability to work with both international customers and suppliers as a SCADA/EMS/DMS Systems Engineer and consistent reporting of updates from site.

Your background:

1. Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/IT. Master’s Degree in Power Systems Engineering will be an advantage.
2. At least 5 years of overall experience. Preferably 2 years in SCADA Control Centre environment for utilities.
3. Experience in Control Centre SCADA configuration, tuning & testing, Control Centre System Maintenance.
4. Exposure to Cyber Security.
5. SCADA, IT background (Virtualization, Database, Network, Cyber Security), Front End Configuration (FEP) Networking, database & display.
6. Knowledge of IEC 60870 104, IEC 60870 101, DNP 3 serial, DNP 3 Ethernet and ICCP protocols.
7. IT-Infrastructure with knowledge of Servers, Virtualization, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure Firewalls and workstations.
8. Knowledge of power systems engineering and control systems.
9. Control Centre SCADA system knowledge of any OEM Hitachi Energy, Areva.
10. Knowledge of SCADA Control Centre Application (Hitachi Energy / NM knowledge is an advantage).
11. MS-Office: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
12. Willingness to travel, work and coordinate with teams in multiple time zones.
13. Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
14. Customer engagement, communication and presentation skills.
