[MY] Senior Manager, Group Finance

Our Finance department is a fundamental part of Doctor Anywhere and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial stability. We are responsible for advising management on financial decisions that have a far-reaching impact on the company's future.

About the role

We are seeking a Group Senior Finance Manager who will be in charge of day-to-day consolidation accounting.

The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to deal with ambiguity, especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal client support across the entire organization and have prior experience in accounting.

This role is based in Malaysia and reports directly to the Head of Shared Services.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

1. Consolidation and delivery of accurate and timely financial/management reports and provide financial analysis on these reports.
2. Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cashflow forecasting, revenue recognition, taxation, group consolidation, financial closing, and reporting.
3. Ensure proper revenue recognition (i.e., transfer pricing) and appropriate accruals are carried out for tax compliance purposes.
4. Work with the FP&A team in providing analysis on any deviations with actual financials for Board Meeting reports.
5. Partner with the Operations Team by providing financial insight where required.
6. Key coordination contact with external auditors.
7. Coordinate and liaise with other external parties like audit firms, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax, and government authorities as required.
8. Ensure compliance with Singapore GAAP, Tax, and any other statutory requirements.
9. Review, recommend, and carry out improvements to accounting systems, business processes, and procedures where required.
10. Any other ad-hoc duties as necessary.

About you

1. Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience (either in audit firms or commercial – experience with Big 4 Audit firm will be an added advantage).
2. Candidates with experience in public accounting (with medical industry clients) and/or medical industries would be preferred.
3. Professional accounting qualification i.e., CA or CPA is preferred.
4. Degree or higher in Accounting.
5. Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably in Oracle Netsuite and MS office applications.
6. Able to work independently.
7. Proficient in oral and written English and Malay language. Additional languages are an added bonus.
8. Unquestioned integrity and high standards in the work you do.
9. A good team player with a high level of maturity and independence.
10. A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
11. Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
