Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Association

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets through market research, networking, and sector analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Financial Analysis & Valuation:

  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analyses to assess investment opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memos outlining key findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence efforts, including financial, legal, operational, and commercial diligence.
  • Collaborate with external advisors (legal, tax, financial) to ensure all due diligence requirements are met thoroughly and efficiently.

Deal Structuring & Negotiation:

  • Work closely with legal counsel and executive leadership to structure deals, draft term sheets, and negotiate terms.
  • Propose optimal financing strategies, including equity and debt arrangements, to fund transactions.

Integration Planning & Execution:

  • Develop post-merger integration plans in collaboration with functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR, etc.).
  • Monitor integration progress, address challenges, and adjust strategies to ensure a smooth transition and successful synergy realization.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Present recommendations and updates to senior leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners and external entities (banks, investors, advisors, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years to 5+ years of relevant M&A experience in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise; experience with common M&A tools and data sources (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook).
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the company’s sector (if applicable) and the broader market landscape.
  • Regulatory Familiarity: Understanding of relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and legal procedures in M&A transactions.
