Merchandiser (Fashion)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Product Development:

• Innovate trendy baby products for local and international markets.
• Develop fresh designs for seasonal baby wear on a monthly basis.
• Assist with styling for baby modeling shoots and contests.

Merchandising and Supplier Coordination:

• Oversee sub-contractors and approve design visuals.
• Manage supplier relationships, handling sample raising, production bookings, and delivery schedules.
• Assist with product sampling, fitting measurements, and specifications.

Project Management:

• Schedule work efficiently to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Analyze sales reports and participate in annual merchandise planning.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects and company events.

Cost Control and Collaboration:

• Manage costs to align retail prices with planned targets.
• Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and the sales team to ensure successful execution of plans.
• Adapt to additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Textile, Fashion, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years in a Designer or Merchandiser role, showcasing strong skills in both areas.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese for effective communication with China suppliers.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications.
