MEP COORDINATOR

Nova Infinite Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled MEP Coordinator to join our team in Melaka, Melaka on a contract basis. As the MEP Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of our engineering projects, ensuring seamless coordination and successful project delivery.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate and manage the integration of MEP systems and components within the overall project design
2. Review and approve MEP shop drawings, technical submittals, and equipment specifications
3. Liaise with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and consultants, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
4. Monitor MEP installation progress and quality, identifying and resolving any issues or conflicts
5. Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to the project management team
6. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
7. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team as needed

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Coordinator or in a similar role within the engineering industry
2. Thorough understanding of MEP systems, including design, installation, and coordination
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
6. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
7. Proficiency in using project management software and tools
