Job description

To lead and enhance the membership engagement of the organization by delivering high-quality services, through cultivating strong tactical moves with stakeholders, and relationship management. The role requires an outgoing and market-facing person approach, fostering engagement with members of the business through the networks, from the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Membership Management

  1. Understand and implement the membership lifecycle processes, including onboarding, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring a personalized and high-touch experience.
  2. Define the execution activities of members retention policies, focusing on building dialogues and relationship engagement.
  3. Act as the primary point of contact for members, ensuring their needs are satisfactorily met and fostering strong, long-term relationships.
  4. Build and work together internally to maintain an active and dynamic DR talent supply pool by engaging with potential and existing talents.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Assure strong relationships with external stakeholders, including board members, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and vendors.
  2. Regularly meet and interact with members to gather feedback, enhance satisfaction, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

3. Event Management

  1. Collaborate and execute high-profile events to enhance member experience and drive attendance.
  2. Work towards the use of creative approaches to increase event visibility and participation, collaborating with marketing for promotion.
  3. Lead on-site operations during events, ensuring smooth execution and high attendee satisfaction.
  4. Evaluate and report on the success of events, using feedback to refine future activities.

4. Market and Industry Positioning

  1. Understand and track market trends for Director Education updates.
  2. Develop new initiatives and programs with partners to strengthen the organization’s value proposition in the market.
  3. Collaborate with markets to work on campaigns that highlight the benefits of membership and organizational services.

5. Project and Stakeholder Management

  1. Oversee the end-to-end implementation of key projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  2. Identify and mitigate risks in membership-related activities and engagements.
  3. Contribute to talent placement projects and Board Effectiveness Evaluations, delivering impactful results.

6. Data and Administrative Oversight (Co-owner for the DRMS & DMS system)

  1. Ensure accurate and up-to-date member and talent databases, using insights to inform strategic decisions.
  2. Prepare, write reports on membership growth, event performance, and stakeholder engagement.
  3. Support the preparation of working materials for committee and board meetings, aligning content with strategic goals.

7. Special Interest Groups (SIGs) Coordination

  1. Manage at least one SIG-related grouping with key industry members and regulators on topics such as digitalization and climate change.
  2. Engage members in SIGs to drive participation and position the organization as a thought leader in these areas.

Requirement

  1. Tertiary education from any discipline.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in similar fields especially membership management, stakeholder engagement, or related roles.
  3. Proven track record in event management and networking.
  4. Strong proficiency in written and oral communication in English, other languages will be useful, plus working application of Microsoft office.
