Reporting to the Immunology Medical Lead SEA and India, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a trusted scientific partner who engages with healthcare professionals, institutions, and payers in the Immunology therapeutic area to identify and address their needs. Through cutting-edge scientific exchange, you will inspire and form partnerships that enhance understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products and solutions, ultimately improving patient pathways and outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
Through scientific engagement and exchange, you will build and develop enduring needs-based peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, institutions, and payers in the Immunology therapeutic area. Acting as partners to the healthcare community, you will identify areas of mutual collaboration and implement strategic action plans aligned to the Country Medical Plan. Communicate in an accurate, fair, and balanced manner the benefits, risks, appropriate use, and clinical value of our solutions and therapeutic products. Demonstrate field-based excellence to develop healthcare networks to navigate the complex local health care environments at national, regional, and local levels. Where relevant, manage medical communications with KOLs regarding clinical paper/pivotal trial updates, new product launches, advisory Board communications, and regular updates related to the therapeutic area including competitor initiatives. Support medical enquiries.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the compounds, diseases, and competitors relevant to the Immunology therapeutic area and implement adjustments to strategic brand plans as required to available new information. Attend appropriate local and international symposia, disseminating key learnings to the Brand teams upon return. Develop agendas for educational symposia and work with speakers to ensure the fulfilment of high-quality medical education.
Generate and share actionable and valuable insights and propose solutions/actions in a timely manner utilizing appropriate tools available. Gather data, facts, and observations on the external healthcare environment towards generating internal insights.
Identify and critically assess research opportunities, and develop partnerships aligned with strategic brand priorities to address real-world evidence generation needs. Facilitate the implementation of medical programs, including Managed Access Programs.
Be an active and proactive member of the brand team. You will collaborate to create brand strategy and an integrated brand plan. You will work with the brand team to identify opportunities to create value for the business and ultimately the patients. Provide medical and scientific expertise to the brand team. Lead the development and implementation of the KOL strategy, in conjunction with the sales and marketing team.
Work with the Medical Information team in ensuring relevant answers are provided to anticipated or understood information needs of HCPs and driving a competitor intelligence program. Assist learning and development managers in delivering training for sales and marketing teams as required on our products, disease state, or competitor agents. Have an excellent knowledge of pharmacovigilance and work as part of a team in compliance with SOPs and local regulations to enforce pharmacovigilance best practices. At all times ensure consistency with voluntary and compulsory codes of conduct, appropriate legislation, and compliance with internal SOPs.
About You
Medical or postgraduate specialist qualifications in a medical field (e.g., MSc/PhD/MPH) preferred. Pharmacy degree with a minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience or 3 to 5 years' experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of immunology / respiratory & otorhinolaryngology / dermatology therapeutic area(s) and stakeholders is highly preferred. Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate this information to meet educational needs. Understand the design and execution of research studies. Fluent in English verbal and written communication.
