Assure development and running of most effective media management for clients in Malaysia. This role will include managing the performance of media agencies, key liaison with clients, internal collaborations and if necessary, directly working with digital and traditional media partners such as Google, Meta, Media Prima, etc.
Take accountability in assuring profitability of accounts, budgets, timelines and performance.
Working Relationships
Reports to: Media Director
Interfaces with: Clients, external vendors and agencies, internal co-workers and media partners.
Takes initiative and accountability in managing the proceeding of all media processes and projects with clients.
Collaborate with partners and co-workers in planning and strategizing effective media plans.
Able to think and bring forth innovative strategies and plans to clients.
Define, review and control of briefing, budgeting, strategy, approvals, timelines, reporting and billing with the media agencies to achieve best possible services to clients.
Prepare media schedules for client and review related billing documents from media agencies, then outline the billing process to be delivered to the Billing Accountant for management and proceedings.
Provide analysis, recommendations and consolidation of reports in due time to clients.
Ensure optimization of performance and effectiveness of media spending across all media campaigns.
Calculation and providing budget forecasting for yearly marketing planning and projects supported by media agency.
Initiate and manage close relationship and cooperation with clients, clients' subsidiaries, distributors and suppliers.
Ensure evaluation, negotiations and analysis of media offers, vendors, competitors and market insights.
Ensure close collaborations and timeline management across co-workers and media agencies for material delivery and timely campaign launches.
Experienced in media tools such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Meta Business Suite, SimilarWeb, Nielsen, etc. would be advantageous.
Substantial understanding of the market and is able to research and curate market, media and competitor landscapes/insights, key trends and innovations.
Inquisitive, takes initiative and open to assume ad hoc work, when required.

Ensures quality and timeline of plans, schedules, budgets, projects and work activities of his team.
Ability to negotiate, to convince or persuade others and build a healthy working relationship across all key partners, clients and co-workers.

Profile (Education, experience and general job requirements)
University degree or equivalent experience.
More than 3 years of integrated media background on preferable but not mandatory high profile automotive brands.
Passion for media excellence that delivers effective and efficient strategies and outcomes.
Holistic understanding of the market, media strategies, plans and key performance metrics.
Skills and Personality
5-7 years in same or similar media business area, ideally with reference to automotive or high value consumer products.
Experiences in cross-functional business environment.
Thorough knowledge of integrated media across digital and traditional channels; with understanding of key performance metrics.
Capability for innovation and willingness to explore and embark on new media solutions (ad formats, platforms, technology, etc.) offered by media agencies/partners to lead client success.
Capability to calculate and control complex figures & facts.
Ability to organize and coordinate a structured workflow with attention to details.
Fit in extensive project-management - from planning, agency management, budgeting, billings, optimizations to reporting.
Excellent understanding of social media, mobile-first, performance analysis and insights tools as well as tendencies and new technologies.
Excellent command over English, spoken & written, confident and cooperative behavior on all command structures; other language is a plus!
