Mechanical Engineer
Role Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for designing and developing new product structures and internal assemblies from conceptualization to mass production. You will work closely with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless integration of all components, focusing on durability, manufacturability, and user experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Create detailed designs of mechanical structures in 3D data for new Yamaha audio products including plastic parts, metal parts, packaging, etc.
- Make detailed mechanical drawings of designed parts according to requirements.
- Produce and evaluate prototypes to ensure product specifications are met.
- Analyze mechanical-related problems and propose appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with the procurement team and suppliers to fabricate tooling and produce mechanical parts for mass production.
- Perform mechanical verification tests according to product specifications.
- Manage schedules and resources by monitoring project progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
Qualifications
Every job has its requirements, and this role requires you to have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Basic knowledge or experience in 3D design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Basic knowledge in materials, plastic injection processes, and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
