Overview

The Mechanical Design Manager will be responsible for delivering automation machines or assembly lines to certain technical standards. This position requires close collaboration with project management, software, electrical, and production teams.

Job Description

1. Work with business units for DFM preparation to secure potential projects.
2. Communicate with customers and present proposed solutions.
3. Provide budgetary costing based on customer specifications and requirements.
4. Ensure appropriate governance in the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems.
5. Lead and manage the mechanical design team.
6. Provide technical and theoretical support related to functioning modules.
7. Troubleshoot and debug machine performance.
8. Collaborate with various stakeholders within the company to achieve quality delivery of machines.
9. Coordinate with third-party suppliers to ensure timelines are met.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
2. At least 8 years of experience in Mechanical Design for Automation Systems; managerial experience is an advantage.
3. Experience in 3D Software - Solidworks.
4. Proficiency in Chinese to communicate with teams in China.
