About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for our innovative projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles to support the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for new and existing products.
2. Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
3. Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including embedded engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to meet project goals.
5. Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance product quality and functionality.
6. Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes to optimize cost and performance.
7. Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
8. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
9. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
10. Continuously seek opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.

About You

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Relevant experience of at least 3 years and above.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA tools.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
5. Experience with the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
9. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical design.
10. Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation is an advantage.
