Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Design Engineer to support our Prototyping Lab in all phases of prototype creation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Vacuum Casting, CNC Machining, and Model Making, ensuring high-quality prototype development from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Prototyping Lab in all phases of prototype creation, including sample construction, assembly, and final product development.
• Create physical prototypes using Vacuum Casting/Silicone Rubber Mold, CNC Machining, and Model Making.
• Independently manage the entire Vacuum Casting process, including mold making, resin handling, casting, curing, finishing, and quality inspection.
• Operate CNC machining equipment, including 3D CAD, CAM programming, and machine setup to produce finished parts.
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment errors to ensure smooth operation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Model Making, CNC CAD/CAM).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC milling machines and Vacuum Casting, preferably in consumer product development.
• Strong proficiency in PTC Creo 3D Parametric, Creo Parametric Manufacturing for CNC, and other 2D/3D CAD software is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Prior experience in a Prototyping Lab using various tools and machinery is preferred.
