Job Brief

We are looking for a self-motivated marketing support role focusing on accounting and claims specialists to perform a range of accounting functions, such as payment processing, account reconciliations, claims inquiries, and maintaining financial records for the company. The successful candidate will have solid accounting experience working with SAP, as well as the capacity to multitask effectively. This position requires strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Payment Voucher Processing: Complete payment vouchers for approval ensuring that they are prepared, verified, and processed within established time frames. Process payments only after all necessary documentation and approvals are received.
  2. Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of accounts on a regular basis which includes bank statement, ledgers and any other financial records. Analyze financial data and find variances and discrepancies to resolve financial data issues.
  3. Contra Entries And SOA Updates: Process contra entries and Statements of Account (SOA) for update and ensure accuracy. As necessary, provide SOAs for identified relevant stakeholders.
  4. Premium Updates And Error Resolution: Resolve discrepancies and update overdue premium records in SAP. Remove discrepancies in premium records in SAP to help give accurate financial reports.
  5. Petty Cash Management: Manage petty cash and ensure that there is adequate documentation for every single transaction and balance reconciliation. Ensure proper documentation for every transaction and regularly reconcile petty cash balances.
  6. Commission Checking: Verify and reconcile commission payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
  7. Claim Enquiry Management: Handle in-house and external claim enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Investigate and resolve claim-related financial discrepancies.
  8. Claims Processing and Documentation: Process claims through FLO system and update claim details. Prepare and organize claim documents for approval, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Confirm claim approvals and update claim status in the system. Assist in preparing financial reports related to claims, including tracking claim payouts and recoveries. Undertake any other specific task assigned if any.
Job Requirements
  1. Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Business Studies / Administration / Accounting.
  2. Proficiency in reconciliations and financial data analysis.
  3. Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  4. Good communication skills in English and Malay language for both spoken and written.
  5. Proven experience in accounting, financial reconciliation, and claims management.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
