Job description

This role supports the Curtin University Malaysia Marketing Operations team with the implementation of marketing and recruitment activities to increase Curtin Malaysia’s brand awareness and drive student recruitment. The role facilitates the development and implementation of a broad range of marketing programs in support of Curtin Malaysia’s marketing strategy, to meet both brand and acquisition targets.

Working in collaboration with the wider Marketing Operations team, the Marketing Officer is responsible for implementing marketing tactics including content production, website content management, event marketing and production, campaign management, lead generation, management of digital platforms, landing page development, social media content planning and execution, and reporting.

The Marketing Officer supports and advises the Digital Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Manager on matters pertaining to digital marketing and is involved with all matters related to the development, planning, and implementation of digital marketing initiatives and activities.

We are seeking an experienced individual who is a performance-driven marketer with a collaborative approach to work and is motivated to keep up to date with digital best practices, advertising trends, and market knowledge.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Completion of a relevant degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and/or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of online marketing and social media platforms, and proficiency in online publishing, monitoring, analytics, design tools, and applications.
  3. Demonstrated experience in content production management across a range of channels and formats.
  4. Strong attention to detail across a range of formats and marketing communications channels.
  5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  6. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Demonstrated ability to organize time and workload in order to meet deadlines and maintain control of multiple tasks.
  8. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Professional working proficiency level of spoken and written English is required.
  11. Demonstrated experience in a range of digital marketing technologies, specifically content management systems, CRMs, analytic tools, and social media publishing.
  12. Knowledge and experience in designing and developing websites, landing pages, and/or web applications, and experience in front-end and back-end development and management of websites.
