Job description

Looking for an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be adept at strategic planning for both offline and online marketing, executing comprehensive marketing plans, and managing a team of marketing executives. A deep understanding of marketing funnels and the ability to make data-driven decisions are also essential for this role. This is a key leadership role that requires a strategic thinker, a proactive leader, and a results-oriented individual.

Accountabilities

  1. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of two marketing executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee the marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with company objectives, branding guidelines, and timely execution of campaigns.
  3. Marketing Strategy (offline & online): Develop comprehensive plans that effectively promote our products, services, and events via multiple channels.
  4. Campaign Execution & Brand Management: Implement and monitor marketing plans across various channels, including digital, print, and events, to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
  5. Marketing Funnel Management: Analyze and optimize the marketing funnel to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and customer retention.
  6. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize marketing analytics tools to extract insights, measure campaign performance, and inform strategic decisions.
  7. Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Investor Relations, and Community & Learning departments, to ensure cohesive marketing strategies.
  9. Networking & Business Development: Skilled networker. Able to create and develop new opportunities for business.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  3. Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  4. Strong understanding of marketing funnels, customer journey mapping, and conversion optimization.
  5. Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM software.
  6. Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience in offline marketing including print and events collaboration, and digital marketing including SEO, SEM, Meta Facebook Ads, social media, and email marketing.
  2. Knowledge of the local market and consumer behavior in Malaysia.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing market trends and consumer preferences.
