Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role:

  • Assist in all aspects of marketing and admissions of Imperial International School Ipoh, including new student applications.
  • Plan and execute marketing plans to increase overall student enrolment across Malaysian and International communities.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies, including online presence, content creation, event management, and advertising campaigns.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

  1. Brand Promotion and Awareness:
    • Promote the school’s brand and unique selling points to prospective students, parents, and the community.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the school’s reputation and visibility locally and internationally.
    • Manage the school’s social media accounts, posting relevant content to engage the target audience.
    • Oversee the school website’s content, ensuring it is updated, user-friendly, and aligned with marketing strategies.
    • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to prospective families, current students, and alumni.
  2. Content Creation:
    • Create engaging and informative content for newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and the school website.
    • Capture high-quality photos and videos of school events, classroom activities, and student success stories.
    • Write articles and blog posts showcasing the school’s programs, achievements, and events.
  3. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify prospective families, competitor schools, and industry trends.
    • Analyze international students' and parents' needs and preferences, and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
    • Monitor competitor activities to stay updated on their marketing strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  4. Event Management:
    • Plan and organize school events such as open houses, international student recruitment fairs, parent-teacher conferences, and webinars.
    • Collaborate with other departments (Admissions, Academic Teams) to ensure smooth execution of events.
  5. Advertising & Promotions:
    • Coordinate advertising campaigns through traditional and digital channels, including local newspapers and social media ads.
    • Develop promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and school brochures to support marketing activities.
  6. Public Relations:
    • Assist in maintaining positive relationships with local media, education agents, and community organizations.
    • Help manage the school’s public relations efforts, including press releases and media outreach.
  7. Student Recruitment:
    • Develop strategies to increase student enrolment and target international families seeking quality education.
    • Handle inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Be responsible for all aspects of admissions policies and processes, including conducting admissions tests and preparing offer letters.
    • Conduct tours and answer questions about the school.
    • Process incoming applications for all prospects, checking qualifications and authenticity of results.
    • Arrange and invigilate online assessments for applicants.
    • Prepare Provisional Offer Letters and communicate with parents regarding application outcomes.
  8. Reporting & Analytics:
    • Prepare regular reports to senior leadership on marketing performance, including student inquiry and enrolment data.
  9. Student Admissions:
    • Manage the admissions processing of a portfolio of programs in close liaison with academic departments.
    • Monitor and prepare related documents for Student’s Visa Renewal and Cancellation for International Students.
    • Maintain students’ personal files and update relevant documents for local and International Students.
    • Ensure timely responses to parents.
    • Handle paperwork for Scholarship Applications.
    • Provide accurate information regarding visa requirements and processes for international students.
    • Assist students in preparing visa applications.
    • Liaise with embassies and government agencies to stay updated on visa regulations.
    • Monitor compliance with immigration regulations and institutional policies.
    • Prepare and submit necessary reports related to international student admissions and visa status.
    • Stay informed about changes in immigration laws that may affect students.
    • Work on other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a marketing or related role.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media marketing, or content creation is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments.
