Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Create marketing plans for better customer service experience, retain customer loyalty, and facilitate organic growth, and analyze and compile accurate reports.
- Identify new customers/businesses through platforms such as advertisements, associations, directories, online business portals, and marketing websites.
- Identify new customers within different industries in the local market.
- Increase the presence of the company brand in the market and enhance market awareness of the product and service offered by the company.
- Review and improve current offline/online marketing material such as company profiles, product catalogues, newsletters, and company websites.
- Assist the management in monitoring the effectiveness of online marketing material.
- Monitor new sales enquiries and forward them to the sales department for follow-up.
- Plan and manage company business portfolio/territory/business according to market development strategy.
- Develop a marketing plan to increase the presence of the company brand in the market.
- Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and update relevant information held in these systems.
- Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities according to budget and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
- Review and improve current online/offline marketing material such as the company website and product catalogue.
- Provide relevant information to immediate superior and management.
- Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate and effective methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills continually.
- Attend any other ad hoc works that may be assigned by the company.
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum diploma in Business Marketing.
- Adequate skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and sustain relationships internally between departments and externally with a range of customers.
- Good time management, ability to prioritize workload and work in a team.
- Highly effective communication and listening skills.
- Excellent presentation and ‘selling’ skills with the ability to engage and influence customers and team members.

Company Description:
We are primarily in the business of trading and processing of steel products, specializing in rolled long and flat products. Our focus is on carbon steel, of which the majority are mild steel and complemented by stainless steel and alloy steel. We also have in-house facilities to undertake cutting, leveling, shearing, profiling, bending, and finishing of products as well as production of expanded metal.
