We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Marketing & Communications Manager to spearhead our Advertising & Promotions (A&P), Public Relations (PR), Events, Booker’s Club, and Graphic Design initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality marketing, a well-established media network, and the ability to drive brand awareness while aligning with the hotel’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing, Design & Promotions

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and generate business growth.
  2. Design and create visually appealing marketing materials (brochures, newsletters, flyers, posters, banners, signage, social media graphics, etc.) in line with brand guidelines.
  3. Monitor A&P expenditures vs. budget and maintain an annual marketing plan aligned with the hotel’s business goals.
  4. Oversee all hotel marketing collateral and ensure promotional messages are effectively communicated to the target audience.
  5. Collaborate with advertising agencies and suppliers to create innovative and cost-effective marketing campaigns.
  6. Establish and manage joint promotional activities with credit card companies, banks, and media partners.
  7. Plan and execute brand awareness initiatives, including media hosting, press releases, and digital campaigns.
  8. Organize marketing events to strengthen consumer engagement and increase market reach.
  9. Lead monthly marketing meetings with senior management to strategize upcoming initiatives.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  1. Manage and update all hotel social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) with engaging content.
  2. Create and schedule social media posts, advertisements, and campaigns to increase reach and engagement.
  3. Monitor social media trends and implement innovative strategies to enhance brand presence.
  4. Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and handle inquiries in a timely manner.
  5. Track and analyze social media performance, ensuring data-driven improvements.

Public Relations, Guest Feedback & Communications

  1. Develop and execute PR plans to maximize the hotel’s exposure locally and internationally.
  2. Manage media relations, write and distribute press releases, and handle corporate messaging.
  3. Serve as the primary contact for media interactions and hotel communications.
  4. Spearhead community involvement initiatives, fostering positive brand engagement.
  5. Manage and respond to all guest feedback from social media, review platforms, and direct inquiries, ensuring brand reputation is upheld.
  6. Track and assess the ROI of media campaigns to ensure alignment with business goals.
  7. Handle crisis communications and develop strategies for reputation management.
  8. Ensure the hotel’s website and digital platforms are regularly updated with relevant content.
  9. Implement strategies to improve the hotel's image and positioning in the market.
  10. Support internal communication efforts, ensuring brand consistency across departments.
  11. Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  12. Conduct performance appraisals with a focus on growth, motivation, and succession planning.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  14. Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge & Experience

  1. Minimum Diploma in Mass Communications, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Broadcasting Management.
  2. Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry.
  3. Proficient in graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software).
  4. Well-established business network with media, bloggers, entertainment companies, celebrities, and advertising agencies.
  5. High level of integrity, dependability, and results-oriented mindset.
  6. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken).
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Social Media platforms.
  8. Strong graphic design skills and the ability to create high-quality marketing materials.
  9. Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  10. Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
  11. A team player with strong leadership capabilities.
  12. Pleasant, mature personality with creative problem-solving skills.
  13. Strong analytical skills, innovation, and strategic planning abilities.
  14. Able to resolve conflicts and manage challenges effectively.
  15. Managing multiple marketing, design, and social media initiatives simultaneously.
  16. Maximizing media coverage, publicity mileage, and social media engagement.
  17. Strengthening brand awareness, reputation, and market presence.
