Job description

Conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk clients to assess alignment with AML Risk Appetite. Responsibilities include preparing client risk assessments, assigning risk ratings, identifying AML risks, and escalating issues as needed. The role involves collaborating with business partners, adhering to regulatory requirements, and contributing to the HRCM strategy while maintaining professional development.

Description

  1. Case Work & EDD:

    1. Conduct EDD for high-risk clients to identify and mitigate AML risks (e.g., money laundering, terrorist financing).
    2. Prepare high-quality risk assessments, assign risk ratings, and ensure adherence to RBC policies.
    3. Investigate alerts, assess referrals, and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) when necessary.
  2. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

    1. Partner with business units to address and escalate issues within established timelines.
    2. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure compliance with AML/CTF requirements.
  3. Accountability & Personal Development:

    1. Complete mandatory training, enhance knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, and align with RBC best practices.
    2. Participate in team discussions and provide feedback for process improvements.
  4. Regulatory Risk Management:

    1. Support the development of HRCM processes and provide input for regulatory audits and compliance measures.

Profile

  1. Experience: 5+ years in AML compliance, financial crimes investigations, or related fields (e.g., law enforcement or financial regulation).
  2. Education: Post-secondary education required; CAMS designation preferred.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong analytical, investigative, and organizational abilities.
  4. Competencies: Analytical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and risk management.
  5. Languages: Ability to speak, read & write Cantonese; Mandarin is a MUST HAVE.
