Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Shariah Reviews: Perform ongoing reviews of the bank’s operations, activities, and products to ensure compliance with Shariah requirements.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor the implementation of Shariah resolutions, guidelines, and rulings issued by the Shariah Committee and relevant authorities.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on Shariah non-compliance findings to the Shariah Committee and other relevant internal committees.
• Training and Development: Assess the level of staff awareness and knowledge of Islamic banking products and operations and conduct training sessions to enhance their understanding of Shariah principles and compliance requirements.
• Policy Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of Shariah compliance policies and procedures.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure effective communication and compliance with Shariah standards.
• Ad-hoc Review: Perform ad-hoc reviews as requested by the Shariah Committee and Compliance Division to address urgent review needs.
