Job Description
Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting:
- Provide impact analysis on regulatory ratios, reporting, and accounting for different projects.
- Manage changes in regulatory and financial reporting processes to support new business initiatives, contributing to specifications and user acceptance testing.
- Lead finance projects that improve process efficiency and control.
Compliance with Regulatory and Financial Reporting:
- Review regulatory returns and financial deliverables for the APAC Monetary Authority and Securities & Futures Commission.
- Monitor internal regulatory limits and maintain strong relationships with regulators, addressing queries and requests.
- Interpret new regulatory requirements and assess business impacts.
- Conduct risk assessments related to regulatory reporting for new business initiatives.
Support for New Business Initiatives & Automation:
- Collaborate with project teams, provide input on requirements, enhance reporting tools, conduct testing, and support business rollouts.
- Facilitate development and implementation of finance automation solutions for regulatory reporting.
Stakeholder Management and Value-Added Services:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in APAC to streamline and improve finance services.
- Offer value-added inputs on capital impacts for new business initiatives and project approvals.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist the team lead in training, supervising, and supporting the regulatory and accounting team.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Commerce/Business discipline
- 5 years plus from financial institution and/or Big 4 experience - Engagements with FIs (MUST HAVE)
- 2 years experience in HKMA Returns for Capital Markets Businesses
- Experience in a Capital Markets or Bank Finance Department
- Experience with Hong Kong Monetary Authorities (HKMA) and SFC Returns reporting
