Manager, Merchandising Planning

Our client is an international clothing retailer that excels in designing durable apparel. Their simple, basics-inspired clothing consistently thrives through various trend cycles and seasons.

Job responsibilities:

• Budgeting and Product Strategy:
  • Participate in discussions with management and related departments (corporate planning, global headquarters) on yearly budgeting and alignment on product strategies.
• Sales and Inventory Forecasting:
  • Plan, implement, and oversee product strategies to achieve sales and customer satisfaction in the growing market on a daily HBK basis, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance and make necessary adjustments on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis.
  • Forecast sales trends daily, weekly, and monthly, and replenish stocks to avoid stockouts.
  • Maximize sales by managing stock at the correct level and upholding effective SKU control.
  • Prepare sales performance reports.
• In-season Management:
  • Monitor and revise sales and inventory plans in real-time to capitalize on sales opportunities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, IMD, Inventory Control, EC) and global teams on product strategy, forecasts, and promotional strategies.
• Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or any related field.
• A minimum of 5-6 years in merchandising planning, with a preference for experience in a fashion retail environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen understanding of retail mathematics, including metrics such as sales trends and margins.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.

Remuneration:

MYR 15,000 - MYR 17,000
