The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Support is the role is manager to people manager. In this position, you will serve as the first point of contact for Manufacturing on yield, quality, and throughput issues, providing effective solutions to identified production problems. You will also be responsible for analyzing Manufacturing rejects as needed to reclaim materials where possible and identify and resolve root causes of rejects.
Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring that NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and Concessions are processed accurately and efficiently. Adherence to the Quality System and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements are also critical aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, and cost on the Manufacturing lines.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for hiring and retaining a diverse, highly qualified staff and for providing career coaching, growth and personal development.
- Provides the first point of contact for Manufacturing on yield, quality, and throughput issues.
- Provides solutions to identified production problems.
- Analyses Manufacturing rejects as required to reclaim where possible, identify, and rectify root causes of rejects.
- Ensures NCR's, and Concessions are processed accurately and effectively.
- Ensures adherence and compliance to the Quality System and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Identifies opportunities for safety, quality, and cost improvements on the Manufacturing lines.
- Monitors operations with an eye toward improving yield, scrap, productivity and efficiency.
- Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
- Ensures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Reduces waste and addresses production issues.
- Evaluates data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
- Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
- Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.
- Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.

- Minimum 12 years relevant work experience in a Medical device manufacturing environment.

- Demonstrated personal computer skills including spreadsheet skills, word processing, data base management and other relevant project management applications.
