Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Manager, Learning & Development – South Asia.
The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As a Manager, Learning & Development – South Asia you will:
- Leadership Development Programs: Manage nomination process for South Asia region in partnership with Human Resources Business Partners, manage annual plan for leadership development programs in the South Asia region.
- Instructor Led Program Design and Delivery: Design and facilitate learning programs related to personal effectiveness, communication, and leadership, which will include a combination of in-person and virtual delivery. Manage training coordination and logistics to support program delivery.
- Global Business Services Learning Roadmap: Engage key stakeholders, subject matter experts and process owners to manage the Global Business Services learning roadmap for Kuala Lumpur.
- Global Business Services Learning Programs: Provide advisory support for functional skills training (e.g. continuous improvement, data analytics, internal controls).
- Internal Client Management: Engage with Regional HRBPs and key stakeholders to short- and medium-term organizational requirements, establish priorities for learning and development activities, and to define desired outcomes.
- Learning Management System (LMS): Collaborate with the HRIS / HRSSC teams to manage e-learning content assignment and reporting.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the interface with external vendors, manage external vendor invoicing and expenses with learning and development programs.
- Assessments: Manage requests for 360 feedback assessments and third-party leadership assessments, which will include providing support to HR Business Partners and Leaders.
- Budget: Manage South Asia Learning & Development budget.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- 10+ years of HR experience, which includes 3+ years of experience in Learning and Development. Prior experience as an HR Business Partner is a plus.
- Prior experience facilitating training both in person and virtually required. Prior experience with delivering training to both leaders and individual contributors strongly preferred. Fluency in English required.
- Prior experience working for a multi-national company required, prior experience working for a publicly traded US company is a plus.
- Prior experience facilitating team effectiveness and strategic planning workshops strongly desired.
- Certification in assessments (DiSC, Korn Ferry) and learning programs (Franklin Covey, Situational Leadership) strongly desired.
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) required, experience with Workday Learning is a plus.
- Advanced level facilitation skills with delivering training to groups, both in person and virtually. Able to effectively engage the participant group.
- Develops and delivers communication in a manner which provides a clear understanding to the targeted audience.
- Ability to build trust and develop strong relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Participates in the selection of external consultants to deliver training. Ensures that programs meet business objectives and requirements.
- Uses knowledge and skills in working independently to review proposals from external vendors.
- Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently with planning, organizing, and prioritizing Learning and Development activities.
- Ability to adapt to change and perform well in an ambiguous environment.
- Works at an advanced level to analyze potential solutions and create recommendations.
- Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
