About the position:
This role will be an integral part of the Ethics, Risk and Compliance team and will work closely with our Legal, Finance, People, Product and Global Operations teams. This role will ensure that the Company and the Company’s customers adhere to legal standards and policies, enforcing regulations and providing guidance on global compliance matters.
This role will be based in Malaysia, India, the Philippines, Romania, or Poland with a strong emphasis on APAC compliance and a secondary focus on EMEA. The role will also support the team globally. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with continuous change due to our constantly changing external and internal environment, working at the pace of the business, and delivering on multiple simultaneous priorities. The successful candidate will work with colleagues across different departments and time zones.
What you can expect to do (responsibilities):
- Research, review, monitor and ensure that G-P adheres to applicable employment laws and regulations. Collaborate with the relevant internal departments and provide support and recommendations on the implementation of employment laws and regulations
- Create, review, refine and continuously monitor local policies against ever-changing global policies and local legislation
- Proactively identify employment compliance-related gaps or conflicts in existing processes and help develop and operationalize mitigation efforts with cross-functional teams
- Assist the enterprise risk management effort by keeping an inventory of known and emerging risks for G-P’s global entities and determine a course of action to remediate and change manage identified issues. Communicate the business impact of risks and align stakeholders
- Support the implementation of employee, welfare, information and consultation committees
- Consult on various types of employee communication and employment documentation with an operational lens. Update documentation and seek stakeholder approval as needed
- Conduct internal audits periodically and support external audits. Consult and manage (when appropriate) remediation plans
- Stay up-to-date with trends in the industry and in compliance processes as well as current best practices and techniques
- Develop and deliver compliance-related communications and training
- Ad hoc risk and compliance tasks and projects, as required
What we are looking for (requirements):
- Education:Undergraduate degree. A postgraduate degree preferred
- Global Professional Accreditation– FCIPD, GPHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, preferred
- Experience: 7-10 years of human resources, legal, risk management, or compliance experience
- Experience operationalizing employment legislation and human resources/employment policies
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and talk to all levels of an organization
- Detail oriented and organized with sound decision-making ability
- Track record of successfully juggling multiple functions, projects, and priorities
- Able to navigate ambiguity and shift direction when priorities change
- Comfortable in a global, fast paced, high growth, rapidly evolving workplace
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting a global company with a global mindset and the ability to execute locally
- Experience testing, monitoring, and auditing human resources’ processes and collaboratively developing remediation plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pragmatically weigh risks and benefits of complex situations
