Functional Responsibilities
• Lead research in areas related to VBI and sustainability, including iTEKAD, micro financing, and sustainability-related financing facility.
• Assist in formulating and updating internal policies related to VBI and sustainability, ensuring their effectiveness and relevance.
• Liaise with regulators, NGOs, organizations, and banks for collaboration opportunities.
• Draft collaboration agreements/MoUs for projects that involve partnerships.
• Ensure internal policies and SOPs are established or updated in relation to projects involving funding and repayment.
• Prepare monthly and/or quarterly updates and/or reports on project progress to the HLISB management committee and regulator where applicable.
• Prepare monthly and/or quarterly updates on fund disbursement to the HLISB management committee and regulator where applicable.

Managerial Responsibilities
• Provide support to various business units on matters related to VBI and sustainability, fostering a collaborative environment for achieving goals.
• Facilitate workshops and engage internal cross-functional teams to align on sustainability frameworks and initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder inquiries regarding the bank's sustainability initiatives and maintain updated information on the bank's website.
• Work with the Marketing & Communications Division to enhance Hong Leong Islamic Bank's presence and profile as a company that supports sustainable operations.

Organizational Responsibilities
• Prepare VBI Assessment Report and Tracker monthly updates for Management Committee meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of updates to the Board for all matters relating to VBI.
• Assist in the preparation of special papers for Joint Board and Shariah Committee meetings as required.
• Assist in the preparation of papers/reports to BARMC as required.

Minimum Requirements

Education:
• Bachelor Degree (with CGPA of 3.0 and above).

Experience:
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Research skills.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter.
• Certifications related to sustainability in general.
