Your new role

1. Hands-on end-to-end accounting activities and ensure timely book closures.
2. Ensure compliance with local accounting rules, regulations, and taxes.
3. Manage accounting, compliance, and audits in Malaysia or Singapore.
4. Develop and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with local GAAP.
5. Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
6. Ensure all statutory requirements are met, and financial information is securely stored.
7. Prepare supporting information for annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
8. Develop and maintain financial systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
9. Conduct regular team meetings to improve processes and turnaround times.
10. Assist in managing the studio P&L and provide financial insights to achieve profitability targets.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
2. Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ICWA are advantageous.
3. Above 5 years of progressive financial responsibility.
4. Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, MS Axapta) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage long hours based on business requirements.
7. Excellent team management and communication abilities.
8. A proactive, results-driven attitude.
