Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

1. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedure.
2. Review monthly analysis of Financial Reports against prior year and budget, providing explanations and financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
3. Review forecast profit and loss, cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirement.
4. Identify, investigate, and analyse potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.).
5. Ensure smooth process flow, optimize AR days and monitor, collect market intelligence to keep bad debts at minimal/0%.
6. Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
7. Co-ordinate on any finance, management and credit control meetings involving shareholders.
8. To review and monitor tenants aging profile, recommend immediate action plan and obtain credit control members endorsement.
9. Liaise with legal personnel to ensure action plan communicated to manage and mitigate risk of tenants owing huge balances.
10. Assess, evaluate, mitigate risk & proposed credit limit for management's approval.
11. Review additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
12. Review yearly corporate and deferred taxation.
13. Manage and co-ordinate yearly external audit process.
14. Manage accounts payable process to ensure payment to vendor is made within company's credit terms.

Qualification

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related discipline, with partial professional qualification of ACCA, CPA, CA, MIA, CIA or equivalent.
2. Partial professional qualification of ACCA, CPA, CA, MIA, CIA or equivalent.
3. Minimum 5 years' experience in similar capacity.
