Manager - Demand Planner

Responsibilities

• Lead in overseeing and organizing demand for all the company’s Products/Brands SKUs via working closely with the commercial teams, i.e ECB, ESB and CHC business, (both Private and Government Business, International Business and regional teams) in their forecast of the SKUs which are under their responsibility.
• The person will need to ensure that the organization meets the customers demand of Duopharma products/brands SKU in both local and international markets based on the forecast of the SKUs submitted by the commercial team via closely working with the Production Planning team on product availability based on the agreed lead time for each SKUs or product lines.
• To analyze the forecast accuracy vs the actual sales of the business units on a monthly basis. Upon publishing the forecast accuracy, the person will need to advise on whether adjustments to the forecast are necessary to ensure production planning team are able to fulfill the supply based on the agreed lead time.
• Jointly responsible in managing the overall stocks holdings of the company with the respective commercial business units. The person will need to align with Finance Department on overall optimal stocks level of Finished Goods and collaborate with the commercial team in managing the stocks holding level. This is to facilitate product availability while minimizing the stocks holding cost and avoiding potential out of stocks situation.
• Collaborate closely with the supply chain management, production and procurement teams, contract packing contractors in aligning the demand and supply.
• Ensuring that all business units adhere to the deadlines in the compilation of the forecast of their respective products/brands SKUs.
• To liaise with other departments in addressing operational issues as well as matters of strategic importance of the commercial team towards contributing to the Group’s overall strategic objectives of achieving RM1 billion by 2025.

The Person

• Possess a minimum recognized degree or tertiary education in Business Management.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in demand planning preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years of people management, and good track record.
• A data analytical qualification will be an added advantage.
• Added advantage to have knowledge in SAP/ Hybris/ Tableau system or any forecasting tools.
• Analytical skills: Able to formulate and strategize sound short-, medium- and long-term plans. Able to analyze the market and anticipate market dynamics.
