Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Development of the commercial master plan for the airport, mainly revolving around the commercial concept and model of a particular airport. The activities will include thinking, planning, and research with the purpose of introducing the latest business concepts and ideas and translating them into a feasibility study. This study will be evaluated, verified, and validated before presentation to senior management for endorsement and authorization for implementation.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Assist senior manager in preparing and obtaining the necessary approval from various committees on business concepts - BPC, MPC, CCM, SPC, EXCO.
• Organize and supervise the implementation of commercial master plan activities (RESET) at MA (S).
• Ensure maximization of commercial revenue through RESET at the International Airport and Mini Reset at the Domestic Airport.
• Assist senior manager on RESET Concept delivery in accordance with strategies comprising financial monitoring (Variance reporting).
• Assist senior manager in building product/brand offerings for core business that meets customer needs and expectations, enhancing customer experience.
• Assist senior manager in achieving optimum product categorization to yield maximum financial performance, enhance value proposition, and elevate customer experience (Pax Fronting of Retail, F&B and Services and BOH - Storage and Office / Advertising / Car Park / Ancillary Revenues i.e. Casual Leasing & Promotion).
• Assist senior manager in developing and/or managing any other responsibilities/duties required to improve overall commercial business performance based on planning (Airport Business Modelling and Feasibility Study - Engage consultants, Development Conference/Meetings, Value management, and site visits).
• Assist senior manager in identifying and building strategic relationships with new brands and/or business partners for long-term partnership and business sustainability.
• Assist senior manager in driving commercial procurement policies and procedures for effective and efficient processes in the business model.
• Assist senior manager in maximizing commercial activities by diversifying businesses and resources - Financial Modelling for local and international projects.
• Assist senior manager on Bumiputera Program - Planning of usage space, determining KLIA, creating alliances via MITI, TERAJU, INSKEN.
• Assist senior manager in monitoring contract expiry and preparation of management paper for contract renewal/extension.

Education

• Degree Certificate preferably with specialization in Business Administration / Marketing / Retail Management / Commercial Management (Master's Degree would be an added advantage).

Relevant Industries

External

• Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
