Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced talent to join our team as the Manager/Assistant Manager, Group Corporate Communications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Head of Department in shaping and executing groupwide communications, branding and creative strategies, enhancing our reputation and representation values, and fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting the Head of Department in the formulation of groupwide Communications, Branding and Creative strategies and the effective implementation and execution of initiatives comprising of, and not limited to:
  2. Developing and implementing comprehensive groupwide communications, branding and creative strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  3. Managing internal and external communications channels, including but not limited to, website content management system (CMS), social media platforms, broadcast channels via the intranet and regulated Whatsapp internal groups and various corporate and market-fronting representations such as publications, profiling, branded and media materials.
  4. Serving as a ‘secondary point of contact’ for media/stakeholder inquiries and building strong relationships with journalists and media outlets of various mediums (mainstream and non-mainstream, traditional and digital).
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding applications across groupwide communications channels.
  6. Monitoring and analyzing media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  7. Planning and executing corporate events, including media conferences, collaboration events, stakeholder visits, employee engagement and suitable corporate responsibility participations and involvement.
  8. Providing the functional department’s administrative and ground support for groupwide communications, branding and creative initiatives with the directives of the Head of Department.
  9. Supervising and following up, where necessary, and ensuring functional action plans and their respective timelines, including those of inter-departmental or cross-functional projects and assignments are monitored from conception to execution.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related disciplines, with a decent number of years in the field/related functional capacities.
  2. Minimum 5-7 years of related functional working experience, preferably with diversified companies/group of companies, in the full spectrum of communications and reputation management responsibilities; supplementary experience in branding and creative management would be an advantage.
  3. Good working knowledge in the full suite of Office-related programmes, various automation and digitalization tools and applications related to the communications, branding and creative functions.
  4. Detailed, meticulous and organized in the administrative and execution responsibilities including and not limited to: info-data management, profiling and related documentation preparation, reviews and revision tracking of communications, branding and creative materials.
  5. Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both oral and written, with great interpersonal skills; additional language capabilities such as Mandarin would be of good help.
  6. Self-starter, with strong initiative and capacity to work independently and a team player.
  7. Professional with good work ethics, integrity and business awareness.
