The opportunity
The Cohort Management team is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing cohort management strategies to optimize group performance to achieve the Agency's goals through profitable growth and quality development of the entire Agency Distribution Channel for the Malaysia operation. Working closely with the Head of Agency Strategy & Performance Management, he/she will oversee the development and implementation of the longer-term strategic direction to ensure alignment with cohort management goals in addition to achieving results in the short term.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Design and implement cohort management strategies to optimize group performance and outcomes for agents (rookies, ManuPro, MDRT+).
- Responsible for the comprehensive planning, organization, and execution of agency initiatives. Ensure these efforts align with the agency’s growth vision and mission, driving strategic objectives forward.
- Develop and manage programs tailored to the needs of different cohorts to grow the mid and higher tier’s numbers and contribution to the business.
- Design and enable the roll-out of interventions/support to each of the cohorts.
- Lead the development and implementation of the agency’s strategic plan related to cohort management.
- Collaboration with leadership: Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure that all strategic initiatives are aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Recruitment, and Training teams to define sales and recruitment and onboarding strategies, processes, and best practices that are relevant to the specific cohorts.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure successful execution.
- Performance Management: Track, monitor, and analyze performance data, and report on the progress and performance of agency initiatives and projects to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Provide continuous feedback and support to ensure that all initiatives are on track and meeting their objectives.
- Work with data and digital teams to ensure automation and availability of relevant data through new digital portal for agents and agency leaders.
- Strategic Presentations: Prepare and present detailed strategic initiatives, comprehensive reports, and well-founded recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure that all presentations are clear, concise, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop robust strategies to mitigate risks associated with strategic projects.
- Ensure that risks are managed proactively to minimize their impact on the organization.
- Innovation and Growth: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the agency.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and industry standards in cohort management.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and refine strategies to improve organizational performance and competitiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of the market.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead the Cohort Management team.

What we are looking for
- 8+ years of progressive experience in the insurance industry with a proven track record of agency management and demonstrated good working relationships in this field.
- Strong understanding of business financials, with the ability to deliver results within financial parameters.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in performance management, sales management, cohort management, and communication.
