Responsibilities & Duties
The interview will be conducted through a virtual platform (Google Meet) by the Singapore Based Talent Acquisition Team. Upon successful application, the candidate will be working at our KL Sentral office and collaborate with our Malaysia and Singapore team and with our clients worldwide.
The Manager works effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress with a proactive and result-oriented approach. The work exposure includes delivering high quality financial accounts, leading and working closely with team members to create a positive client experience during the performance of a variety of accounting and advisory work for a portfolio of diversified clients in different industries.
• Managing client's expectation in delivering quality accounting services and ensure submission of deliverables on a timely manner.
• Remotely manage and communicate with clients and partners located globally
• Perform review on work done by accounting team to ensure working papers and reports are in compliance with relevant standards and by-laws.
• Perform review of annual financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Monitor the time frame and work progress to ensure timely delivery of quality services to clients.
• Support the management of the portfolio of clients assigned by developing and maintaining good client relationship.
• Provide guidance and solutions to clients on a consultancy basis.
• Highlight issues and provide potential solutions as well as presenting reports to clients.
• Coach, train and develop an effective team with both technical and non-technical competencies. Provide timely feedback to reinforce or improve behavior or performance.
• Promote the firm's growth and culture internally and externally.
• Provide or seek solutions on the problems raised by team members.
• Sound financial and management reporting knowledge.
• Good understanding of accounting, able to build bridges from P/L, B/S to financial projections
• Familiar with financial ratios, high level of analytical skills, good at spreadsheet modelling
• Support the Group's business initiatives and service offerings
• Able to assist the Partners and management to manage the practice and Firm
Candidate will be employed under our wholly owned subsidiary in Malaysia and working at our office in KL.
Candidate Requirement
Education Level: You should possess a recognised university degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or professional accounting qualification.
Preferably a member of MICPA/ACCA/ICAEW/ MIA/CPA Australia or equivalent
Experience: Have at least 4-6 years relevant audit experience in a professional practice. Audit experience in well established professional services firms will be an added advantage
Skills/ certifications: MS Word, powerpoint, Canvas, Outlook and Excel
Language versatility: English
You should have good communication and people management skills besides the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Organised, detailed and deadline oriented.
Analytical mind and a passion for numbers
Pro-active manner, willing to offer new suggestions and share knowledge.
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
