Purpose of Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Bahasa Melayu (BM) teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds to join our team. As a Bahasa Melayu teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering students’ proficiency and appreciation for the Malay language and culture.

ISP BM Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, content, and learning materials aligned with standard curricula and teaching standards.
• Utilize various learning mediums (e.g., digital, visual, experiential learning) to accommodate different student learning preferences.
• Inspire and motivate students to strive for excellence and foster their self-directed, independent, lifelong learning abilities.
• Assess student performance, grade their work, and design learning plans within a safe learning environment.
• Comply with teaching standards and legal requirements.
• Adapt teaching styles to student needs, implement behavior management programs, and provide additional support when needed.
• Participate in co-curricular activities to support the complete development of students.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Appropriate degree and teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s Degree with teaching qualification, PGDT/Diploma in Education OR relevant degree).
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in the relevant subject in KSSR/KSSM syllabus.
• Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students’ welfare.
• PC literate and able to use multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined, and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal English and BM.
• A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the school.
