Opened in 2013, Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens is part of ISP’s dynamic network of schools across the globe. We offer a premium education choice located in an upcoming suburban township in Johor for Early Years, Primary, and Secondary-aged students. Our 19-acre state-of-the-art green campus provides a welcoming, inclusive, and exciting work environment.

Our school comprises Tenby International School Setia Eco Gardens, offering a British education up to the IGCSE level, and Sekolah Tenby Setia Eco Gardens, which offers the Malaysian National Curriculum at the Secondary level. The school caters to students aged 3 to 17 years from around the world, focusing on holistic development to become global citizens.

Purpose of Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Bahasa Melayu (BM) teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds. As a BM teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering students’ proficiency and appreciation for the Malay language and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, aligned with standard curricula and teaching standards.
• Utilize various learning mediums (e.g., digital, visual) to accommodate different student learning preferences.
• Inspire and motivate students to strive for excellence and foster their self-directed learning abilities.
• Assess student performance, grade their work, and design learning plans within a safe learning environment.
• Comply with teaching standards and legal requirements.
• Adapt teaching styles to student needs, implement behavior management programs, and provide additional support when needed.
• Participate actively in the complete development of students, including co-curricular activities.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Appropriate degree and teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s Degree with teaching qualification, PGDT/Diploma in Education).
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in the relevant subject (KSSR/KSSM syllabus).
• Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students’ welfare.
• PC literate and able to use multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Highly motivated, disciplined, and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal English and BM.
• A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the school.
