Maintenance Technician / Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible in overall maintenance activities and implement best practices and value-added cost control for overall maintenance operation.

Primary function

1. Perform regular preventive maintenance on printing presses and label related machinery
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
3. Minimize downtime by quickly identifying and resolving equipment failures
4. Install and calibrate new machinery to ensure optimal performance
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine performance
6. Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
7. Collaborate with production teams to improve machine efficiency and performance
8. Monitor and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime
9. Identify areas for improvement in machine performance and propose enhancement
10. Train operators on basic troubleshooting and proper machine handling
11. Liaise with suppliers and service providers for specialized repairs, upgrades, or troubleshooting
12. Perform other ad hoc tasks assigned by superior

Minimum Requirements

1. Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics / E&E / Mechanical Engineering
2. Basic technical knowledge of machine maintenance & repair work
3. Proven experience in managing the maintenance & facilities department will be an added advantage
4. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
6. Good communication and teamwork abilities
