The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing work orders for corrective and preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules, electrical minor repairs, and line design movements as required.
Also perform electronics equipment repairs and electrical installations, analysis and installation of electric control components. Must have knowledge in PLC, repair molding machines and peripheral equipment, and repair inkjet printers and jet calibration.
The Maintenance Technician C is responsible for supporting the engineering department in the development of specialized equipment, implementation of improvements with a focus on downtime reduction, and supporting improvement projects.
The Maintenance Technician D is responsible for multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion.
Work mostly independently with minimal supervision. Attend breakdowns, identify faults and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production. High knowledge in solving problems with most of the equipment in the plant. Strong TPM knowledge, analyze maintenance reports.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow quality system and good manufacturing practices.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and perform work orders for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Execute preventive maintenance on equipment according to maintenance schedules.
- Support production lines, focusing on maintaining product quality and equipment in good working conditions.
- Report unsafe working conditions to the area supervisor.
- Maintain backup equipment in good working conditions when required.
- Maintain safety devices of equipment working properly.
- Installation and modification of manufacturing lines.
- Perform electronic equipment repairs, power supplies, and general electronics.
- Assembly and wiring for industrial equipment.
- Failure analysis for electric test equipment.
- Maintain molding machines and molding dryers in good working conditions.
- Execute electric control installations.
- Support the design of new equipment.
- Execute and install electric control systems.
- Propose improvement development ideas to reduce costs and enhance improvement projects.
- Analyze and program in PLC.
- Analyze and repair inkjet printers.
- Support the automation of equipment.
- Suggest improvements to preventative maintenance and demonstrate high knowledge in troubleshooting and repairs to various equipment.
- Apply preventive measures to reduce the risk of future problems.

- 3 years minimum in maintenance.

- Basic English communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area with strong electromechanical systems knowledge.
- Electromechanical Technical Degree or Incomplete Engineering career (4th semester or higher) with 3 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area.
- Verifiable experience in molding equipment, dryers, chillers, and thermolators.
- Verifiable experience in knowledge of inkjet systems.
- 5 years of ascertainable experience in maintenance area with strong electromechanical systems knowledge.
- Technical Degree in electronic, mechanical, electrical, or Incomplete Engineering career (4th semester or higher).
- Strong experience in automatic and pneumatic equipment.
- Strong knowledge in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
This is a 6-day working role (Monday to Saturday), working hours – 8 AM to 4:30 PM Malaysia time. Overtime (OT) may be required. Rotation shifts will apply (every 2 weeks, day and night). More information will be shared during the interview process.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in indoor facilities. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 Kg and climb a vertical ladder. Must have knowledge of working on hot surfaces due to direct contact with molding equipment at high temperatures. Knowledge in the use of personal protective equipment for solvents is required. The Maintenance Technician may only use hand tools, impact tools, hand saws, hand drills, hammers, and low-risk equipment. The use of all equipment and accessories that represent a high risk is prohibited. Always use personal protective equipment where applicable for the execution of maintenance activities.
