Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage a team of fitters to ensure the plant is correctly maintained.
2. Direct the maintenance work force and provide onsite guidance, responsible for making individual job assignments and tracking its progress.
3. Ensure that work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, providing the information, tools, and direction to work safely and efficiently.
4. Review work planning and scheduling with superintendent, providing feedback to ensure that job plans are efficient and effective and that scheduling is accurate.
5. Ensure equipment availability is adequate, establishing communication with superintendent and production to meet their availability needs, equipment or asset uptime.
6. Work with plant or production supervision to ensure first line maintenance is being performed safely, to the appropriate standards.
7. Champion proactive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance, ensuring that maintenance is planned, scheduled, and performed in the most cost-effective manner.
8. Implement and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs constantly.
9. Coordinate contractor manpower requirements for site.
10. Develop, coach and provide leadership and technical training to subordinates, establishing effective communication skills within the subordinates.

Requirements:

1. Possess Technical Diploma / Cert / SPM in the related field; experience and certification may increase advancement opportunities.
2. At least 3 years of working experience in plant maintenance, preferably with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
3. Knowledge & experience of rotating equipment, static equipment maintenance.
4. Knowledge & experience of pipeline fabrication and maintenance.
